Megalodon shark is an ancient living between 25-1.6 million years ago, but it's gone. It may be 40 feet (12 meters) long or more. Only the fossilized teeth have been discovered.

I remember the sea, deep sea diving, where all sorts of exotic forms of life ...... exotic good good with you and me in the sunny world of the surface. One of the things cameraman was a huge mountain of a shark. I do not think this will be referred to as a Megalodon, but there are still big sharks in the deep sea floor. (eg, deep trenches)

While most of the leading experts claim that available evidence suggests that the Megalodon is extinct, the idea, a relic of the population seems to have captured the public imagination, but the evidence in support of these ideas are so rare and often ambiguous.

Megalodon teeth found that some were only 10,000 and 15,000 years ago. This assertion is in the discovery of two teeth by the HMS Challenger expedition of scientific (these teeth by estimating the amount of time to accumulate for the manganese in them, although the basis it is likely that the fossil teeth were summoned before ).

Others have the latest estimates of these teeth responded inaccurate and "demands of the post-Pliocene Megalodon ... are bad," based on outdated components and methods [3]. Roesch and others found that MEGALODON probably coastal sharks, and survival in deep water is very unlikely.

Some recent reports of relatively large shark-like creatures have been persisted in the interpretationMegalodon, but reports are often misinterpreted as a basking shark, whale sharks and other large animals. A familiar example is reported to the author Zane Gray. It is possible but unlikely that some of these observations may be due to abnormally great white sharks. A famous example is told by the Australian naturalist David Stead. Although widespread, this account is generally considered to be of little value because most applicants are anonymous:

In 1918, reported the feeling that I belonged to was the "outside" crayfish men at Port Stephens, when, for several days, refused to take the sea to their regular fishing grounds near Broughton Iceland. The men had worked in the fields of fisheries - found in deep water - when an immense shark of almost unbelievable proportions appearance, lifting pot after pot of many cancers and under, as they said, "pots, mooring lines and all. These crayfish pots should be mentioned, were about 3 feet 6 inches [1.06 m] in diameter and often contains two or three dozen fairly large number of pounds of crabs each. The men agreed that the shark something from which he never dreamed of. By the local inspector of fisheries monitoring, I asked some of the men very closely and they all agree on the size of the giant animal. However, it usually leads to absurdity. The reference, but as an indication of the mentality that this unusual giant had thrown. And remember that men who work at sea, have all kinds of weather and all types of sharks and served. Part of the crew said the shark "three hundred feet [90 meters] long, at least," said others, be it as long as the platform on which we stood - about 115 yards [35 m]! They stated that "cooked "In a large room in the past, the fish swam. They were all familiar with whales, which had often seen passing at sea, but that was a big shark. It had its terrible head," was at least the roof orN pier sheds Nelson Bay. "Impossible, of course! But speak it rather dull and prosaic men, not" given fish stories' nor even of their catch is. They also knew that the person they said (to me) had all heard stories Fisheries years! One thing that struck me was that everyone agreed to agree on the ghostly whitish color of the big fish. The inspector of the local fishing at the time, Mr Paton that something must have been with me, really huge these experienced people in such a state of fear and panic set.

No, they're dead, long time. However, the great white shark is connected with him, but only about 1 / 3 the size.
